Gregory Pope

Gregory Pope serves as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Teranet Inc.
As CFO, Pope is responsible for Teranet's corporate financial reporting, treasury, budgeting and forecasting, risk management, taxation, acquisitions and divestitures, corporate insurance and facilities management.
Prior to joining Teranet in 2010, Pope served as Vice-President Finance of Boston Pizza International, a leading Canadian casual dining chain. During his five year tenure, Pope secured in excess of $140 million of incremental franchisee financing capacity in support of an aggressive national expansion plan. Based in Richmond, British Columbia and working with the President and other members of the executive team, Pope provided financial leadership and support to franchisees and internal stakeholders, with chain-wide revenues almost doubling during his time with the company.
From 1994 through 2005, Pope served with Aliant Inc., a $2 billion publicly-traded telecommunications and information technology firm based in Atlantic Canada, including five years as Corporate Controller from 2000 to 2005. In this capacity, Pope was responsible for all external consolidated financial reporting to the investment community, leading various initiatives to constantly improve internal processes, tighten controls and partner with a diverse group of operating subsidiaries.
Pope is a Chartered Accountant, and was with Deloitte & Touche from 1990 to 1994. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree as well as a Master of Business Administration from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He is also an active volunteer, chairing the Finance and Risk Management Committee of CNIB's National Board of Directors.
