James MacQueenChief Customer Officer

James MacQueen serves as Chief Customer Officer of Teranet Inc.

In this role, MacQueen is responsible for leading Teranet's sales and service functions across both the Electronic Search & Registration and Value Added Solutions lines of business. He also heads Teranet's Customer Experience program and customer insights efforts.

Prior to joining Teranet in September 2009, MacQueen served as Vice President, Strategic Services for the Global Corporate Services division of CB Richard Ellis. In this role, he was responsible for providing strategic support to CBRE's Canadian real estate services platform. During his tenure with CBRE, MacQueen worked closely on securing and maintaining several key Canadian accounts such as CIBC, Symcor and Ontario Realty Corp (ORC).

MacQueen also held positions in the commercial real estate space including Vice President, Asset Management for InnVest real estate investment trust (REIT) where he actively participated in the $2.6 billion acquisition of a competing luxury Hotel REIT. He also served as Vice President, Real Estate and Development at Cara Operations Ltd., best known for its successful restaurant concepts including Swiss Chalet, Kelsey's, Harvey's and Milestone's Bar and Grill. MacQueen was Vice President, Corporate Development at Alderwoods Group, a North American multi-brand consumer products and services provider. He began his career working with large Canadian real estate owners, managers and developers such as Oxford Properties Group.

MacQueen is a graduate from University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management where he earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and holds an undergraduate degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax. He sits on the Board of Directors for Children's Wish Foundation - Ontario Chapter and is chairman of one of its largest annual fundraising events.
