Mapping Products

Blocking Maps are prepared before site implementation and show the proposed layout of POLARIS blocks within that site. These maps are road network maps that illustrate the POLARIS block boundaries and numbers and serve as a guide for registry office staff and clients, implementation sites, map production and mapping contracting firms. These maps are subject to revision if property densities change, usually through development, during the period of implementation.

Status Maps are used to track implementation progress in a particular site or throughout the Province. The maps are also used to monitor Teranet projects such as MGE Conversion, BIM production, Online Teraview Map Parcels and Query Uploaded Properties. These maps spatially link geographic data with attribute data.

Property Index Maps illustrate all properties, as described by land registry office records, their Property Identifier Number (PIN), underlying survey fabric and road names, within one POLARIS block.

Block Index Maps display all the POLARIS blocks within a given geographic area. It is created after activation by taking a subset of the data from the Property Index Maps.

Index Maps illustrate the location of Block Index Maps within a given geographic area. It is a high level (small scale) index map for an implementation area.
