Map Features and Formats

Some of the major map features available through Teranet include:

• Ownership, Assessment, and Crown parcel limits
• Ownership, Assessment, and Crown parcel polygons
• Property Identification Number (PIN), Assessment Roll Number (ARN), Crown Parcel Identifier
• Road allowances and names
• Township lines and municipal boundaries
• Major corridor easements
• Railway limits and names
• Water bodies and names

Teranet can provide the mapping product in a variety of data formats depending on your  requirements. The mapping data formats available are:

• AutoCAD^® DWG Version 12
• AutoCAD DWG Version 14
• AutoCAD DWG Version 2000
• AutoCAD DXF Version 12
• Microstation DGN Version 95
• ESRI SHP Version 3.0
• MapInfo TAB Version 6.0
• GeoMedia Version 4 (MDB Version 97)
• Oracle^® 8i with Spatial Component (available through Teranet's GeoServer Data Delivery Service)

Teranet can also provide the mapping products in a variety of datums and projections. The more commonly delivered projections and datums are:

• NAD 83, 6 degree UTM;
• NAD 83, 3 degree MTM;
• NAD 27 (74 adjustment), 6 degree UTM (using Canadian National Transformation version 1.1);
• NAD 27 (74 adjustment), 3 degree MTM (using Canadian National Transformation version 1.1); or
• NAD 83, unprojected latitude/longitude.
