Components
Six core modules comprise the Unity framework - the software component that powers Unity transaction management services. These are Pricing, Billing, Collection, Accounting, Customer Care and Client Management. These modules mirror a traditional business structure - but they interact at a speed that is anything but conventional.
Pricing - This package allows you to define your products and their accounting details. It is responsive to your specific needs and that makes implementation of different pricing arrangements - from fixed or variable costing, to complex structures such as convenience fee or royalty components and wholesale pricing - remarkably straightforward.
Billing - A billable activity is created once a transaction is generated. The Billing package stores information about the purchase, then works in conjunction with other components such as Pricing, Accounting and Collection, to track the transaction through to completion.
Collection - This package provides customers with a range of payment options, such as credit cards, pre-approved debit accounts, and advance accounts. It also creates an audit trail for reconciliation to both the transaction activity and the accounting system.
Accounting - This package organizes transaction history by customer and payment method without overloading your own accounting system. The framework manages disbursements to your various business partners while posting activities to the applicable accounting ledgers. Naturally, the Unity system easily adapts to accommodate different vendors' accounting systems.
Customer Care - The Customer Care package optimizes the level of service you provide to your customers by providing a clear breakdown of activities and preferences. You can implement the Unity transaction management services Customer Care application or develop one of your very own. It allows you to assign user privileges, create or reverse purchases, and constantly maintain and update relevant customer information.
Client Management - This package allows you to assemble billable activities according to project or event. It can also be extended to group items other than billing, allowing for easy classification and organization.
Four supporting packages round out the framework, allowing administrators to track changes to user and product data, log events and authenticate users via the Application Server's security facilities. In the end, the framework ultimately allows users to capture a complete audit record of all transactions conducted.
The effectiveness of this integrated module approach is underscored by our adherence to industry-leading software standards. The Unity system is built to Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE™) specifications, acknowledged as the dominant suite of object-oriented specifications and services.
