The year 2019 saw big changes for the Teranet-National Bank House Price Index™.
At the start of the year, the composite index faced a series of declines and below-average changes.
However, as the year went on, strength returned in almost all markets.
The composite index grew fastest from May to August, with smaller variations later in the year.
By the end of 2019, with seasonal factors removed, the Index saw five straight monthly rises. The underlying trend of the index returned to strength in the second half of the year after a shaky first half.
