Teranet WritFiling Solution Expands Services to Offer Convenience and Facilitate Collaboration

November 23, 2020 • WritFiling

finger pointing at document iconWhile technology adoption was already on a rise even before the COVID-19 pandemic, the pandemic has accelerated the process.

This is particularly true for the legal space as courts were limiting in-person proceedings during the pandemic and following a reduced operational schedule.

Technology has made it easier for legal professionals to issue, file, and maintain writs electronically during these uncertain times.

The online WritFiling application allows you to electronically process and maintain writs of seizure and sale enforcing an Order awarded by the Superior Court of Justice – Civil or Small Claims Court, whether paper or electronically filed, across all jurisdictions in Ontario.

The best part? It can be done remotely and is a solution that is approved by the Ministry of the Attorney General and Teranet Inc.

Why Use Online WritFiling Solutions?

One of the biggest advantages is being able to securely issue, file, and maintain writs of seizure and sale across Ontario. Two-factor authentication is utilized to ensure that the transactions are securely submitted to the Writ System.

This means that you are not only getting work done faster but also more cost efficiently as you are able to avoid long travel delays as well as the courier costs associated with traditional filing at Court Offices & Enforcement Offices.

Additionally, with an online solution, you can benefit from extended filing and maintenance hours. WritFiling is available Monday to Thursday from 6 AM to 11 PM EST and Friday from 6 AM to 9 PM EST.

Also, there is no time lag in submission. WritFiling transactions are immediately submitted to the Writs System and not impacted by any processing or transmission delays.
