An Update from Teranet CMS Regarding COVID-19

To our Valued Customers,

Teranet is closely monitoring the rapidly changing developments around COVID-19 (Coronavirus). While the situation is fluid, we are working hard to ensure the health and well-being of our employees, their families, and the community.

Teranet is following guidance from the World Health Organization and local authorities before making any decisions. At this time, we do not foresee any disruption to our ability to serve customers, our teams will continue to provide registry services and work closely with the Provincial Registries. Enforcement activities remain available through Bailiffs and Trustees across the country. It has also been determined that Teranet CMS’s services and solutions are essential according to the Government of Ontario.

Additionally, we are closely monitoring information and announcements from all registries, auctions and third-party services across Canada and can provide the following updates that may impact your processes at this time:

Motor Vehicle Registry Offices:

  • Ontario: Service Ontario has resumed service for dealers only.
  • Quebec: SAAQ remains closed.
  • New Brunswick: Service New Brunswick has resumed service for dealers only.
  • Access Nova Scotia and Registry of Motor Vehicles offices – As of March 25th only urgent Registry of Motor Vehicles transactions are available at the Amherst, Bridgewater, Dartmouth, Kentville, Stellarton, Sydney and Yarmouth locations by appointment. Other locations and in-person services are unavailable until further notice. Sales facilities are requesting standing appointments.
  • Prince Edward Island: remains closed.
  • British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland: No disruption reported.

Auctions:

  • The majority of auction services have stopped physical lane sales but online sales are still available. Auction services have been deem non-essential in Quebec and are closed.
  • ADESA:
    • Grounding of new units at all locations,
    • Limited CR and photos on new units depending on location.
    • RDD/virtual sales available for existing inventory at all locations except Quebec.
    • Physical lane auctions have ceased. Redemptions by appointment only.
    • All locations tentatively scheduled to be fully functional by mid-April unless provinces mandate otherwise or facility advises otherwise.
  • Manheim
    • Grounding of new units at all locations
    • CR and photos completed after 4-day quarantine.
    • RDC/virtual sales available at all locations.
    • Physical lane auctions have ceased.
    • Redemptions by appointment only.
    • All locations tentatively scheduled to be fully functional by mid-April unless provinces mandate otherwise or facility advises otherwise.
