Dennis Barnhart named General Manager of The Property Registry
WINNIPEG, MB – The Property Registry announced today that Dennis Barnhart has been appointed its new General Manager. His role becomes effective immediately and Mr. Barnhart will be based in Winnipeg.
“Dennis has been a valued and respected member of the Teranet team since January 2010, and has played an instrumental role in the growth of the organization over the last eight years,” said Elgin Farewell, President and CEO of Teranet.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Barnhart served as the Chief Strategy and Integration Officer for Teranet in Toronto and led Teranet’s strategic planning processes and was a key member of the business development team. In 2014, he led the separation team responsible for transitioning The Property Registry from a Special Operating Agency under the Government of Manitoba to the privately-owned service provider it is today. Going forward, Mr. Barnhart will continue to work with the Manitoba management team to continue to transform Registry services to improve customer experience, efficiency and quality and lay the foundation for innovation and growth, leveraging Teranet’s brand as a multi-jurisdictional business.

Before joining Teranet, Mr. Barnhart worked as an independent consultant and held positions with Bell Aliant, Maritime Life and Nova Scotia Power.
