Dilprit Grewal
Chief Customer Officer
Dilprit Grewal serves as the Chief Customer Officer (CCO) at Teranet, leading two key areas of the business: Registry Operations and Commercial Solutions. He is responsible for Teranet’s revenue and plays a crucial role in making sure the company continues to grow and succeed. Dil leads diverse teams to create new products, improve existing ones, and build strong customer relationships. His goal is to boost efficiency, overall customer satisfaction and generate new revenue streams to help Teranet increase its value for our shareholder. Dil focuses on disciplined and repeatable methods for product ideation, customer engagement, pipeline development, relationship building, and new product/market identification, ensuring continuous operational improvement and efficiency.
Prior to joining Teranet, Dil was Senior Vice President of the Personal Lending and Insurance business at CIBC with responsibility for all the retail lending activities at the bank. During his tenure at CIBC, Dil also held leadership roles in risk management, ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance), operations and corporate development.
Before CIBC, Dil started his career as a Management Trainee at Scotiabank. Early on, he held roles across a variety of areas, including Audit, Risk and Commercial Banking. After a stint working in Latin America, Dil returned to Canada and held leadership positions in Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions. As Senior Vice President of International Mergers and Acquisitions, he was responsible for Scotiabank’s acquisition strategy and execution across the Caribbean and Latin America.
Dil holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from The Ivey School of Business at UWO, where he graduated on the Dean’s Honor List.
When he is not driving his kids to and from hockey rinks, Dil tries, often unsuccessfully, to golf. He is also an infrequent player of both hockey and basketball, and an ardent armchair supporter of the Toronto Raptors and Maple Leafs. The Grewal family are passionate about supporting their community through the United Way and other local charities.
