In our next edition of Leadership Connect for 2025, we sit down with Sachin Bhalla, Co-Founder and CMO at GoVeyance, to learn about his role, insights on building a conveyancing platform for Ontarians, and where he sees the biggest opportunity over the next 3-5 years.
1. Can you start by telling us more about your role at GoVeyance? What does your day-to-day look like, and how does it feel to be a part of a technology solution supporting Canadians?
As Co-Founder and CMO of GoVeyance, my role is to ensure our brand, message, and growth strategy are tightly aligned both internally and externally (with our clients). Day-to-day, that means creatively solving problems across a range of challenges, from accounts receivable issues to large-scale brand awareness campaigns.
We’ve built a marketing team that rolls up its sleeves and gets things done. We proudly say that we’re here to serve sales, and sales is what drives us to think bigger, move faster, and create real magic. Within two years, sales have grown exponentially year over year. We now have 200 active monthly firms in BC and are breaking new revenue records every month.
It’s incredibly rewarding to be changing an industry and building a solution that supports Canadians through one of life’s most important transactions: home ownership.
2. What are the biggest challenges you’ve seen in the conveyancing space in BC that we can work thru in Ontario?
One of the biggest challenges we faced in British Columbia was breaking thru in a small, highly relationship-driven industry. There was skepticism; people wanted to know who we were, why we built GoVeyance, and if we’d be around for the long haul. Building trust, establishing brand credibility, and driving adoption in that environment wasn’t easy, but it made us gritty, sharper and more determined.
Now, with those learnings and the added strength of our partnership with Teranet, we’re heading into Ontario with momentum, confidence, and a brand that’s ready to be a market leader. The playbook is tested, the product is proven, and we’re more prepared than ever to drive change in my home Province.
3. As technology evolves rapidly how do you foresee A.I helping to future-proof the tooling that GoVeyance provides for notaries and all legal professionals?
AI is poised to be a game-changer for legal professionals, and we’re leaning in – but with a practical approach. Our clients have specific needs – they require tools that simplify their workflow and increase accuracy; they don’t need cool tech for the sake of it.
Personally, I’m investing a lot of time learning about AI because it’s a powerful productivity tool. We’re a small team, and any way we can find to drive efficiency is a win.
For our clients, AI has the potential to unlock untapped revenue, improve accuracy, and reduce time spent on repetitive tasks. Whether it’s document intake, data validation, or workflow automation, it’s about helping legal professionals do more with less friction.
It’s time for change in this industry, and we’re proud to say we’re building GoVeyance as an AI-first company.
4. What is your leadership philosophy, and how do you inspire and guide your team at GoVeyance?
My leadership philosophy is rooted in action, creativity, and ownership. I believe in leading from the front, whether that’s jumping into a sales call, refining messaging at midnight, or solving a billing issue with the team. At GoVeyance, we inspire by doing.
I encourage the team to think big, move fast, and never be afraid to challenge the status quo. We celebrate progress over perfection, and we make sure everyone knows their work contributes directly to our mission. When the vision is clear and the energy is real, the momentum can’t be stopped.
5. What excites you the most about the partnership between GoVeyance and Teranet and the future for legal professionals across Canada?
What excites me most is the combination of innovation and trust. GoVeyance brings the fresh thinking, speed, and user-first mindset, while Teranet brings credibility, data infrastructure, and decades of industry experience. Together, we’re not just scaling a product, we’re reshaping what legal professionals across Canada can expect from their technology partners.
This partnership provides us with the platform to accelerate our impact and deliver more value to firms across the country. The future is bright—and we’re just getting started.
