The Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders, and Administrators Act (MBLAA) was recently reviewed by the Ministry of Finance — and came back with seven recommendations for change.
These recommendations focus on the areas of mortgage license classes, a registry for private lenders, monetary penalty maximums, and more.
