Our most recent member of the month is Luke Smyk. We recently connected with Luke to learn more about his business and why he became a member of Teranet Insighters.

Q: Please tell us a little about yourself and your role.

A: I have spent over two decades in the finance and lending sectors primarily working with big banks and various other companies. I am currently the Co-owner, Team Leader, and lead Mortgage Agent at EasyAsNow Mortgages. In my role I oversee, train, and support a team of Mortgage Agents at the brokerage while working with clients and real estate professionals to continue to build our clientele. As a brokerage, we are a boutique firm focused on providing exceptional service and advice to our clients that specializes in all forms of residential and commercial lending. When I’m not in meetings or on calls with clients, I am a father of three, an avid golfer, and a hockey coach with strong ties to the community around me.

Q: Why did you become a member of the Teranet Insighters community, and why is customer insight important to you?

A: : I joined the Teranet Insighters community because it provides me and my team access to pertinent and timely information within the industry. Within my role, understanding trends and feedback is paramount to being able to deliver the right solutions an advice to clients and partners. The insights I am able to gather within this community are a valuable asset in building trust and educating people around me. While I leverage the information daily I also have the opportunity to provide my feedback and opinions regularly, which in turn gives me the comfort to know that I can trust the data and learnings. It’s a competitive advantage and a differentiator, all in one.

Q: What are you doing to innovate and connect with customers?

A: When it comes to innovation we aim to stay ahead of the trends by leveraging industry data to educate and advise clients. Our role is to explain to our clients how to best proceed in making financial decisions. Every aspect of dealing with our firm is based on making it easy to gather, interpret, and use data to provide catered solutions that fit the individual and unique needs of our clients and partners. My team members pride themselves on providing a “boutique” style experience to everyone we work with since the bulk of our success is based on repeat business and referrals.

We stay connected with our clients through regular touch points, by way of sharing industry data, and leveraging a digitized process for approving and closing mortgages. Our official website, social media platforms, and applications provide clients and partners with easy and secured access – We work to deliver for our clients and it shows.
